Tata Motors has revised the prices of the Punch in India, with the popular micro SUV becoming costlier by up to Rs. 7,000, depending on the variant. The latest price revision is now effective across the lineup and follows the company’s recent announcement of a broader passenger vehicle price hike aimed at offsetting rising input and production costs.
The entry-level variants witness either no change or a marginal increase, while select mid- and top-spec trims have received a price hike of as much as Rs. 7,000. Despite the revision, the Punch continues to remain one of the most competitively priced offerings in the micro SUV segment.
Variant-wise Price Revision
The revised ex-showroom prices vary across the range, with the maximum increase capped at Rs. 7,000. Tata Motors has not introduced any mechanical or feature-related changes alongside this price update, indicating that the hike is purely a cost adjustment.
With the latest revision, the Tata Punch continues to be offered with multiple powertrain choices, including petrol and CNG options, as well as manual and AMT transmissions across various trims. The SUV also retains its extensive feature list, including a touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, connected car technology on higher variants, and a comprehensive suite of safety equipment.
Powertrain
The Tata Punch is powered by a 1.2-litre naturally aspirated Revotron petrol engine that develops 88 PS and 115 Nm of torque. Transmission options include a 5-speed manual and a 5-speed AMT gearbox. Buyers can also opt for the iCNG version, which produces 73.5 PS and 103 Nm, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission.

Depending on the variant, the Punch offers several premium features, including:
- 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system
- Fully digital instrument cluster
- Wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay
- Automatic climate control
- Wireless phone charger
