Japanese automaker Nissan is preparing to make a strong comeback in India’s booming SUV market with the all-new Nissan Tekton. The upcoming C-segment SUV has already generated significant buzz ahead of its official debut, with Nissan confirming several key details about the model.
The Tekton will take on some of India’s most popular SUVs, including the Hyundai Creta, Kia Seltos, and Renault Duster in one of the country’s most competitive car segments.
Nissan Tekton: Design Inspired By The Legendary Patrol
Nissan has revealed that the Tekton draws heavy inspiration from the iconic Nissan Patrol SUV. The teaser images showcase a muscular and rugged design language featuring a bold front grille, sculpted bonnet, C-shaped LED lighting signatures, and a strong road presence.
The SUV is expected to feature:
- LED DRLs with connected lighting elements
- Chunky front and rear bumpers
- Dual-tone alloy wheels
- Hidden rear door handles
- Roof rails and skid plates
- Sharp character lines for a sporty stance
Nissan says the Tekton has been designed to “disrupt and dominate” the compact SUV segment in India.

While Nissan has not fully revealed the interior yet, spy shots and teaser images hint at a modern and premium cabin layout. Reports suggest the SUV could get:
