JSW MG Motor India has increased the prices of the MG Comet EV in July 2026, with the entry-level variants witnessing the biggest hike. The latest revision comes as part of the company’s previously announced price increase across its model lineup due to rising input and operational costs.
Following the revision, the MG Comet EV is now priced between Rs 7.80 lakh and Rs 10.07 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on the variant. The maximum increase is Rs 17,000, while select higher variants have become costlier by Rs 7,000. The company had earlier announced that it would revise prices of its entire portfolio by up to 3% from July 1, 2026.

Up to Rs 17,000 Increase
The largest price hike of Rs 17,000 has been applied to the Executive, Excite, and Excite FC variants. Meanwhile, the Exclusive and Exclusive FC trims have received a relatively smaller increase of Rs 7,000.
In percentage terms, the Executive variant has recorded the highest increase at approximately 2.23%, making it the most affected version in the lineup.
No Mechanical Changes
Apart from the revised pricing, the MG Comet EV remains mechanically unchanged. The compact electric hatchback continues to be powered by a 17.3 kWh battery pack paired with a rear-mounted electric motor producing 42 PS and 110 Nm of torque. It offers an ARAI-certified driving range of 230 km on a single charge, making it a practical urban mobility solution.
The Comet EV continues to be offered with features such as a dual 10.25-inch display setup, wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, connected car technology, keyless entry, steering-mounted controls and multiple drive modes.
